AVP Experience

No, not Alien vs. Predator.

AVP is Audio Voice Phenomena - or 'hearing voices'.

12/19 (While getting ready for our Squirrel Cage Jail Investigation) I heard a clear voice behind me (The voice was clear, but the words were not.) I thought that my wife had returned home and snuck upstairs without me hearing her - but then I hear her in the garage, just coming into the house.

I have not had something like this happen since I was in high school, so I don't really know what to make of the experience.

I thought about it, but I don't believe that I'm 'sticky' like that...I think that there are people who draw paranormal phenomena to themselves (I think that I used to be one of them) but I also think that there are people who are a bit like paranormal teflon...this analogy is getting strange, but y'all get the point. Smile

This brings up something I was thinking about the other day, Maybe some people are more prone to having experiences than others and that is why most people go through life without ever seeing anything ghostly. (paranormal teflon reminded me of that!)

Great discussion! I think its acceptable to assume since some people have higher degrees of the standard senses (sight, smell, hearing, taste) that so too goes the sense of the spiritual. A hard core skeptic may be ‘color blind’ and therefore very unlikely to feel or see anything of the spirit realm. Someone with 20/20 vision are able to bring things into focus that someone with crappy vision like myself can barely even see.

Someone once asked me how you would go about describing color to someone who has been blind there entire life. Such is the challenge in explaining the supernatural to someone who is absolutely skeptic.

I’m not sure what this brings to the discussion, but it passed through my mind and my mind has very few filters. Wink
