Game of Thrones series

Kevin and I have been discussing the upcoming pilot episode for HBO's Game of Thrones.
Has anyone else read these books? (George R.R. Martin)

I read the first book but it was too complicated for me at the time, maybe I'll pick it up again and give it another shot.

I LOVE these books. . .haven't completed the series yet. but I absolutely love the characters and plot! <3 Jon Snow, Ghost and Ned! I would be thrilled to see these books turned into a television series!

It looks like they have done an incredible job with the cast (with maybe one or two exceptions.) We can only hope that HBO actually picks up the entire series because I don't think there is another network that would fund it properly.
